About the Sauna

While Pilates builds strong, healthy and mobile muscles, joints, and tendons, the sauna induces cardiovascular stress, providing incredible health and longevity benefits.

Our custom built, traditional sauna is available for use after every class for up to 20 minutes. As the sauna is coed, clothing is required for use. We also require that you sit on a towel to reduce sweat build up.

Our sauna is one of the hottest you will find, heated to 200 degrees. We do this in order to maximize the benefits you can get within the allotted 20 minute time frame.

Sauna Rules

Wear clothes at all times:

Our sauna is co-ed. You must be clothed to use it. You can wear the same clothes you did Pilates in, or change into something else. Bathing suits are acceptable. Under garments are not. No thongs. Loose-fitting clothes like a t-shirt or shorts are great for allowing your skin to breathe.

Sit on a Towel:

To reduce sweat build up, we require that everyone sits on a towel. Bring your own, or buy one from us!

Be sober:

Do not use the sauna if you are under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, or if you are hungover, coming down from drug use, or are detoxing. We get that you want to cleanse, but it is extremely unsafe. Wait, hydrate, and come see us when you are sober.

Don't pour liquids on the rocks

Please don’t pour water, alcohol-based essences, any other liquid on the rocks. The heater will short circuit, causing the sauna to be out of order for everyone.

No scented lotions, oils, sprays, perfumes, or soaps:

Some people can’t tolerate scents, and we want everyone to be able to use the sauna.

Feel Free to Chat:

We like making friends! Be mindful about your conversations though please, as this is a public setting. Leave your phones outside so they don’t overheat.

Enter and exit quickly:

Minimize the time the sauna door is open to prevent hot air from escaping.

No food or drinks:

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the sauna except for a personal water bottle.

Start with short sessions:

Our sauna is as hot as it gets. Beginners should start with 5-10 minute sessions. Sauna sessions are limited to 20 minutes max for safety and to allow time for switching classes.

Listen to your body:

If you feel too hot or uncomfortable, feel free to step out.

Cool down:

After the sauna, cool down in the fresh air by relaxing in the courtyard next to the studio.
